Other Writing

When you write, it’s hard to stop.

You’ve seen the publications, now feel the blogs, the essays, the cricketing tips.

I write a regular column for Third Sector online, covering issues for charities working with young people. You can read it here.

I’ve been writing about politics for the last three years. You can read my collected posts here Political Writing 2009-11.

In 2011 I began writing for dealign.co.uk, a new political online magazine. You can read the collected posts here Dealign 2011.

I’ve also written about cricket for a few years. In 2011, I contributed to the Alternative Cricket Almanack. I’ve shared my thoughts for an online cricketing academy, providing hints and tips on playing the game and blogged regularly as captain of my team, Lansdown CC Ladies XI.

If you want to go further back in time, have a read of my articles for The Lambda, a student newspaper I wrote for in 1993. I could also share the agony aunt columns I wrote in the late nineties but I haven’t scanned them yet!

Oh and in 2001, I came seventh in the Guardian’s text message poetry competition. My poem was published in a collection by Daisy Goodwin and used in her BBC programme, Essential Poems (To Fall in Love With).
